Stand Strong Philippines is an organization teaming up with Zion Emergency and Disaster Rescue Unit. We have at least more than 10 doctors who volunteered for this Medical Mission headed by Dr. Nelson Pipit. They all reside in Cavite and work at San Lorenzo Ruiz Hospital and Naic Doctors Hospital in Naic, Cavite Philippines. They will work pro-bono to create a special medical mission for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. With the combination of Doctors our First responders and our other volunteers, we believe that this Medical Mission will definitely be effective in helping the victims of Haiyan. Our goal is to provide medical missions checkup, vaccines, first aid to the people in Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines and the surrounding areas.

One of the strongest storms ever recorded in human history, Typhoon Haiyan has created over $10 billion USD of damage in the Philippines. Early government estimates forecasted a death toll of over 10,000 people. Thousands of survivors are injured, starving, and desperate for medicine and other relief.Logistical problems have caused a significant delay in the arrival of any aid or support, and the situation is quickly becoming desperate.

 

Stand Strong Philippines is arranging a private chartered flight to Tacloban for our doctors to administer medical care. The arranged flight is arranged by the founding members of Stand Strong Philippines. We have arranged a deep discount through contacts in the aviation industry, with the understanding that this mission is strictly for humanitarian aid. We desperately need additional donations to make this mission worthwhile. Every member of Stand Strong Philippines is volunteering and working for free. 100% of fundraising will be used for strictly medical and help transport the medical professionals. There is no marketing, advertising, or other overhead expenses involved.
